I wish there were more girls like ZGirl4U You just need to work on your aggressiveness towards the dealers... you're too nice.

It's a good thing you got that pink shite off your roundels.

I kid cuz I love... but seriously, if you [or anyone for that matter] haven't already done so, I would *highly* reccomend taking a driving class on a road course. I did it back in 1993 with the BMWCCA and was fortunate enough to take my driving school at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, CA. [BMWCCA has some very good drivings schools that are ideal.] You may be suprised at just how much fun it is and what your car can really do. It may even satisfy your need and end up saving you much money from buying another car . [But be careful, I ended up getting into racing as a result of my school and that was anything but cheap.. but I digress] It was the most fun I have ever had with my cloths on. Back then I had an 87 BMW 528e automatic and was AMAZED how well it did. I Later I went out with other driving clubs including the Shelby Cobra Club and schooled some guys in fully restorned 1960's Shelby Mustang GT's with my stock 528e. Clearly it wasn't about the power because they had nearly 3 times the hp I did... So I guess what I'm saying is power isn't everying and find out the full potential of your car before you spend a wadd of money. Trust me.. it WILL be fun! At the very least you'll be better prepared to handle all the power of your future ride.

P.S. HPDE's don't count... you have to do the school because you won't know how much you don't know untill you've had propper training.

im not opposed to learning/going to a school, ive never had a manual daily driver and obviously motorcycles are a bit diff than cars as far as manual is concerned so i cant really compare.... i feel ive downgraded from my 350 to the z4, it just isnt as fun and ive lost alot of torque so i just dont *feel* the car like im used to...

theres just something about driving a car that pushes you back into your seat that gets me going- thats the PG version.... i wont be happy until im there

What what what??? Are you saying that your 350Z wasn't stickshift?

Bad girl... you go and get yourself an M now!!

Just to let you know (before you slip yourself into one), the clutch on the M is quite heavy. I've gotten used to it, but as my daily driver I find myself plopping it into neutral every so often so that I can let off on the clutch (whenever I'm stopped for an extended amount of time). For those who have an M as their first manual vehicle, this situation may pose an annoyance.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Just have a pair of driving shoes or sneakers for when you're on the road.

Don't want to get into a pissing contest about fave cheap rides here, but I kinda think the STI might win in the bang per buck category - particularly if you're looking to mod for power.

BTW I seriously considered an STI before getting the Z4, but they're in such high demand by the boy racer crowd that I've had to spend at least $5K more. Since I much prefer the feel of a NA RWD car there was no contest - but if I wanted to race it's hard to argue with what those STI's can produce for the money.
