WTB: M Coupe
I'm new to BMW and to the Z4 but I really like the way the M Coupe looks and drives. Two cars ago I was in a 97 Supra TT with 434rwhp but decided I needed a more practical car for commuting and hauling the dogs. Fast forward 2 years; I rarely haul the dogs anywhere and I very badly miss driving a sports car. So I've made the decision to get a M Coupe and I will leave the dog hauling to my wife's vehicle. So far I've test driven a 06 M roadster and a black M coupe. The coupe reminds me a lot of the Supra just minus a backseat, much more modern and a little less power. If anyone is in the market to sell or knows of any coupes that meet the following please let me know. For the past couple weeks I've been searching autotrader, carmax, yahoo, cars.com and craigslist. Looking for the following: Years: 06, 07, 08 Exterior color: (In order) Interlagos Blue Red Silver gray White Interior: Black w/ Carbon leather Under 40k Miles Should have premium package and heated seats. Location: preferably on the west half of the US. I'm looking to spend around the 30k range. Thanks! |

Since they are getting more scarce, have you looked at a 2006 E46 M3? Pretty much same engine and performance to a point. Way under $30k. They come with navigation as well as all the bells and whistles. Sharp looking car. I would look at the M3 if you have no luck with the Z4.

I own both and they are both great cars IMO. The Z4 is a little more modern but I am just saying if he has no luck with the Z4.

Over the past month i've been debating between the M3 and the Z4. I like the M3 but it just doesn't give me the same happy feeling the Z does. I've ridden in a few HPF M3s and I like the power but they will have the Z4 kit out soon enough. Ill probably keep an eye out for an m3 but it is definitely my second choice.*

Maybe not your preferred color and slightly over mileage but to consider:
http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=488754 I get so many compliments on Sepang though, it's definitely gotta be seen in person to fully appreciate. They only made 68 in this color and I've never seen another in person.

Maybe we should talk
I have an 06 Interlagos/blk/carbon M Coupe, and recently put a feeler ad on Autotrader. It doesn't have heated seats - and I'm in TX, so they're hot by default right now. ;-) But it does have nav, climate control, cruise, etc.
Just hit 42k miles, and is below your target of $30k. I love the car (and having 2 Interlagos cars is fun), but also have a lot of other cars I want to own (NSX, 997, E92 m3, possibly a 1M), and I can't get there without selling this (the M3 wouldn't bring enough $). If you're interested, feel free to email me at cvp911t@hotmail.com. If not, no worries, and good luck with your search! -Lance Last edited by cvp911t; 07-18-2011 at 12:35 PM..
