DKF Section 1, Complete ( SOLD )

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds

Item Interest
I have my DKF Section 1 Up for sale.

It will include:

Section 1 pipes (Used)
100 Cell cats (used)
300? Cell Cats (Brand new replacements to fix C.E.L/M.I.L or whatever they call it on your side of the world)

Will Ship and included in the price. Fit perfectly fine on my car using Euro Headers.
Honestly, I'm selling them because i got impatient to wait for a solution that did not include a "tune" or hack to turn off the light. So, i bought an OEM Euro Section 1, and waited for the replacement cats from DKF to arrive.

In picture is assembly with New replacement cats still bagged, gotta go dig up the resonators from storage.

Will this work with OEM setup? The only thing I have is RDSport cans, and later on plan on getting an X pipe. Honestly, I'm not sure what you're selling here. I understand it's section 1 (Spipe) but the 100 and 300 cell cats and resonators threw me off.

Look up the DKF Group Buy thread, should have everything you need to know.

the kit came c/w CATs and Resonator options.
For those that have headers they use the CATs
For those keeping the OE manifold (with CATs) use the resonators.

To answer your question, Yes.
this setup is a oem direct replacement for the factory lower cats. Oem (us) and euro headers are the exact same, EXCEPT that the euro headers do not have a built in "pre" cats. As said above, most keeping the factory us header will install the resonators because you are using the factory us headers. Those using euro headers install the cats, since you are removing the header cats, you move your oxygen sensors to utilize the lower cats tp prevent the check enginr light from coming on, (as the european setup does.) Europeans do not use pre cats, their emmision require bigger lower cats to passs emissions. Versus in NA we use smaller lower cats, and add precats to compensate. But it robs power due to the exhaust having an initial "blockage" per say. After headers/collector, cats do not affect as much due to the exgaust alreafy having speed and scavenging. So, to Na cars exhaust wise, removing the "pre"cats are the biggest gains.

The beauty of the dkf system is its adaptability, for us header, euro headers, or race open pipes with just a resonator for noise control.
I just got antsy, and bought a different setup.
