OK. I now have a Z4 3.0si
First, THANKS to everyone that either replied to a previous thread I posted or have provided other useful info about purchases in other threads.
Today, I traded in my cammed/headers 2000 C5 for a 2007 Z4 Roadster. Black with red interior, Sport, Premium packages. I got a decent deal on both the trade-in and the price of the car. It really came down to 2 different cars - one coupe and one roadster. Coupe was really nice, but I liked the color combo on the roadster more and also thought the coupe looked a little more "worn" then the roadster was. Both were about the same price, both were same year, miles were similar, etc... Pics.. Well, I took a couple quick pics with my iPhone.. they are pretty poor, but I'll see if I can get a teaser pic or two in till I can get some with my camera. |

Thanks - Wife and I are doing a short (about 200 miles round trip) from home here near Austin into hill country, etc.. on Monday (we both have day off). That will be some slow turns, 70+ speeds, etc. With top down/up, so it will be a good get used to me day. If I can remember the camera, I should be able to get some pics on that route!

Congrats, the 3.0si is best of both worlds (daily and performance driving). First mod should be the shorter / weighted zhp knob!

http://www.tejaschapter.org/tejas.html Check the events tab, and look at the Utopia Drive. It is a lot of fun!. The Tejas Chapter probably does more "Road Trips" than any other chapter! P.S. You do not have to be a member to sign up for a drive. It is a great way to find out if you want to join. |

Thanks. I'll look into the shift knob!
bten - Nice link. Wife gets the monthly Tejas Trax already (she has a 325ci) but we just never thought about getting out on the drives. This is/was mostly due to the fact that we were members of another local club due to my car. I'll definitely start to look at the web site and we are looking to become active (at least a little bit) and then decide to join them or not.
