I would definitely use this opportunity to get a ZHP knob (only $60 at Tischer).

Great opportunity to upgrade. As the previous poster mentioned, $60 at Tischer for the knob. The wheel is expensive, around $350 discounted. If you want you can upgrade to a M-Wheel. I wasn't sure I would be too keen on the 'squishiness' of the M Wheel so I skipped it and went with the regular one.

M steering wheel = king of all steering wheels.

Its also like $900. Unless there is a cheaper M wheel w/o steering wheel buttons.

Regarding the ZHP knob. Do they only come in black or do they come in Grey as well?

Is the ZHP knob really that good or is it overrated? Some m3 owners gave it a bad review. How does it make the shifting feel? Doesn't seem like it is big difference between ZHP and reg M knob

It's not the holy grail of all transmission improvements, but for $60 it's great bang for your buck. Most find the stock shifter too tall and I always found myself gripping it lower on the stem anyway. The weight and height of the ZHP shifter is just about perfect. It also makes for what feels like a shorter throw, even though it's only the effect of the reduced distance your hand travels due to the shorter height. It also feels sturdier than the stock shifter.

If someone somehow stole my ZHP shifter, I would order another one rather than putting the stock knob (which I have sitting in a shoebox with the OE CDV, antenna, and wheel center caps) back on.

You can find a used M steering wheel on the classified for ~300 without the multi color stitching. Definitely a great improvement over the stock wheel.

I got this style:

It's not ZHP, but its still considered a performance knob
