tire pressure

i just bought a certified 2007 328i with 11,700 miles with sports package for my wife and i assume this question might apply across the boards on all models. The metal plaque inside the door says 32 pounds (cold) all the way around. There is a yellow sticker also that says 36 front 41 rear up to 100 miles per hour and the manual verifys the metal plaque of 32 all around for the tire size on the car. The dealer seems more confused than i am and says meet it half way. I want the best ride and most tire wear and live in southern california with nice tempuratures. She is a little unhappy on how the sports package seems to jerk the wheel a bit over bumps where my other BMW with just premium package doesn't do that. Any suggestions on tire pressure etc to help all this ?
