Loudest M exhaust question at WOT?

Of course straight pipes would probably be the loudest, but I've been doing some research on the forums and I'm trying to piece together information about all the available exhausts for the M Roadster/Coupe

I realize that there are variables and nuances for each exhaust such as volume at idle versus WOT, rasp, tone and what not. So in order to make it as objective as possible think of this as a comparison of pure decibels at WOT. This is what I could gather from one comparo to another in various threads from various forums and multiple youtube videos.

Try to think of these systems without xpipe headers and cat delete because some may not be compatible with others. This may be difficult (perhaps impossible) because a lot of you guys have added these mods on to these various exhausts.

Here is the list so far, if you guys have heard one exhaust to another and one sounds louder compared to another then rearrange accordingly.

1. BMS
2. Supersprint Race
3. Rogue Engineering Diablo
4. Eisenmann Race
5. Remus
6. Eisenmann Sport
7. Supersprint Powerloop
8. Stromung

If I have left any exhausts out its because there wasn't much information in the various threads.

This should be a great thread if everyone starts comparing them all in one place. There is Arque exhaust and that one with the valve in it.

I ordered a RE Diablo just a few days ago so hopefully it will be here next week!!
RE Price on their website is $1195 and awesome customer service.

That's cool J_factor, do you know of anybody else with any of these or other exhausts for the M? Maybe you can enlighten us with your own comparo once you put the Diablo on.

I have heard the Diablo on an E46 M3 and it sounded pretty mean (and loud).

loudest exhaust i heard (not in person but in video) was the rogue diablo mufflers with jvt headers. sounded so sick. it was an absolute beast. i believe it is killjohnnyforan's car actually in the video i saw on youtube.

I have the Eisenmann Race. Good and loud but has a little drone to it. I'm preparing to add Hamann Headers and Cat so it should get real loud after that!

What would really be helpful is for someone such as Evoking to do a vid with an oe exhaust and a modded one side by side (two different cars). With the endless combinations of cameras and computer speakers, it's impossible to get a good feel for what an exhaust sounds like. With a side by side vid, you've got a standard to compare to.

You can add the RPI Gt exhaust on the lineup deeper sounding from low rpm to WOT

God i hate living in Australia and getting screwed by shipping companies.

Have to pay another $350 just to get my RE Diablo out of the airport and its been sitting there for 4 days an no one called me!
Hopefully if they get ontop of this shit i can pick my exhaust up this arvo or 2moro sometime. So fucking gay.

So total cost on a UD$1195 exhaust is actually close to UD$1700

Hey J_Factor

Have you had a chance to put your exhaust on yet? I just heard it on one of our fellow M roadsters here and it sounds great! Its loud and aggressive but not overbearing.

I just got the exhaust on about 30mins ago.

Have to say it is amazing. It is loud, extremely deep and zero rasp. Just perfect.

Ive got before and after vids and a vid with no mufflers, lol the guys who are getting the RPi better be prepared. No mufflers sounded just like a race car and made everything rumble.
The RE Diablo has the same effect just a little quieter.

Im getting the vids together now and will have them up 2moro as well as some pics. I have not aligned the mufflers properly so the tips look a wonky but ill have a shop line it up properly in a few weeks when i can spare the money.

Just went for adrive exhaust has about 5kms on it so far.

Its so deep and loud from idle to say maybe 3k, up high it still has the familar s54 sound like stock just a bit louder and angry.

At cruiseing speeds and normal driving the exhaust is dead silent. No drone, no sound at all, it just disappears for normal cruising. Its amazing how it works so well and is loud when you want it to be and still be perfect for normal cruising.

RE Diablo is deffiantly under rated, im very happy
For some reason my computer isnt reading the dvd video recording of the exhaust so might take me a bit to get anything happening with pics and videos.

Dude, there's no sound on your video! But I had a chance to listen to LonestarZ's Diablo and I do agree its surprisingly quiet at idle, then it really opens up when you want it to.

I'm just upset that Rogue is sold out and wont have an exhaust for 6-8weeks!
