I've had my m for about 3mouths now and I'm desperate to change my alloy. But I can't decide weather to take the leap and buy some bbs lm rep's. What should I do?

Well especially if you are interested in upgrading later, I'd try to find some for a reasonable price used on the forums. That way if you do decide to upgrade you hopefully will be able to get around what you paid for them. But keep in mind I think it's a lot harder to sell rep BBS than authentic BBS online because they are a lot of sets out there I've seen. Even authentic BBS have been sitting for a while. It seems to be a buyer's market right now.

good points about resale. You can buy a replica set for $1k, and its resale will be around $500 in a year. Or pick up a used set for about $2500, and barely lose any value if you can keep the condition up

Yeah, I had my BBS RGRs for 3 years and didn't really end up losing money on them since I got a good deal initially.

To me they don't look as good, especially close up, but some people don't even know the difference. In the end it's really up to what you think.

you'd be surprised how fast the reps sell on e46fanatics and e90post.

Hmmm, those Vortex reps look pretty good

$799 plus shipping is an awesome price.

I run my car pretty hard. The thought of a wheel failure is terrifying, so just looking for reviews..

Would you buy a "replica" BMW, and pass it off as the real thing? Reps are fine for low-end cars like Hondas, but why on earth would anyone put any ripoff product on a fine machine? Doesn't make a lick of sense to me.

Be like my Mini - go real or go home!

Maybe, just maybe, the difference in price tag may be the reason why.

I'll gladly rock reps, maybe even with some bbs caps on them... and when somebody asks me "OMG are those real!?" i'll say "nope. they're reps " and I'll keep the extra $4000 difference I saved in the bank.

(or spend it on other mods! fml)

Lol my thoughts exactly. I'm on stockers now but damn, legit BBSs are mad pricey. If I didn't love the stock rims, I might have picked up some reps

There is a lot of misinformation on the internet. Just to clarify, our wheels are not the same as varrostoen's. The two companies are not related in any way. I have no idea why someone would just post irresponsible statements like that. We can't comment on varrontoen products since we are not very familiar with them. But we are always stand behind the quality of our products and have many satisfied customers who post on this and other forums.

If I put those on my car, I would just put a BMW center cap there; I think the wheels are dandy, especially for the price. Are they available in stock 18 sizes and offsets etc to fit my 2006 Z4 3.0si roadster? Just for fun, what would a set cost, shipped to St. John's, Newfoundland Canada?
