I don't know which one of you guys is Justin but I was thinking that the clutch stop might be cause for your clunky 1st to 2nd shift. If it's too high, and you go to shift, it's the same effect as not stepping the clutch in enough. I realized that I get the clunk if I'm sloppy with my clutch.

Great drive and thanks for organizing Bjbstewart!

Sounds like you guys had fun!

Post up a few pics!

I hope there is a next time--I would have come down--but I am in the middle of a move.

I think certain small rural towns pull in pretty good revenue from all the spirited driving that goes on there.

On on another note, the scene at Alice's restaurant was really a kick. Lots of amazing cars, bikes & mingling. Our 6 car line up stole the show until 20+ pristine Alfas showed up.

Great Picts, thanks for posting Funkle! First thing my wife said was "oh, i like the blue one!" :-)

Other than the paperwork, it was great drive with a great group. Would have been fun to have Finnegan and SO on drive, maybe next time you can join us!

Yes, I'm glad I held out for IB, but I was experiencing wheel envy yesterday. Can't wait to get some Apex EC-7s on there. Need to sell my BBS first as my wife won't allow yet another set of wheels in the garage

Being in that line of Z4Ms driving hard through the twisties was one of the coolest experiences ever. I think we need some dash cam footage next time.

On the way home I saw a guy driving his S2000 with a GoPro camera mounted to the tow hook hole in his front bumper. Super cool idea. I might pick one up before the next outing.

Guys, doesn't my front tire look way too small? It's a 225/40 and stock size calls for 225/45. It's a mere 0.9" difference in diameter but I feel like the wheel well isn't filled out because of it. Is it all in my head?

It does look a bit petit. I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing wheel envy.

ps. Funkel... you definitely made a great choice waiting for the blue. When I saw 4 out of 5 Z4MC's are black... I had blue envy. I tried buying a white one a month ago but it had been in a (undisclosed) front end collision

I have to check this section more often as I said in another thread. Saturday was a great day for driving. I went to Point Reyes on Saturday wit my girlfriend, love those back roads! Hopefully I'll be able to join you sometime in the future. Now I'm in the process to sell my car in order to get a Z4M coupe or roadster (I haven't decided yet since I want my car sold first but I think I'll get a coupe).

Just to know, how often do you meet and go for drives?

No set schedule. I think the group had a really good time, and there are so many choices in the SF bay area, that we're definitely doing it again. I'd like to see us target one of June 7, July 5th, 12th, 19th.

How are those dates on everyone's calendar for SF Bay Area drive 2.0?

I could do any (or all of those dates) as long as I could be home in a reasonable time to help out with the little guy.
