Bay Area.
Went up to visit family. Took the 101 and 1 up the coast. After my visit I took the 101 to Eureka which is one of my favorite stretches of 101, especially at night with almost no other cars although there is always CHP( was instant-on radared twice in this section but was under 80mph most of the time so no prob). Fueled up in Eureka and then hit hwy. 36. Only saw one other car the whole way to Red Bluff. Patches of fog, deer, one bobcat and rocks in the road all added to the fun as well as the 180's and elevation changes. Hwy. 49 between hwy. 80 and Placierville was also great fun. Then hwy. 50 from Placierville up past Lake Tahoe and up and over Monitor Pass and down to hwy. 395 for most of the rest of the way.
