Lost an Anti-Rattle Spring
As the title says, somewhere out on the road sits a front anti-rattle spring (stock calipers). And wouldn't you know it, I'm ten minutes from the track where I'm supposed to be driving tomorrow....
I don't think this is a critical safety item, but confirmation would be nice. I ran through the Zeckhausen bed-in procedures (two full cycles) and no issues. All seems to be operating normally. If it matters, these are new pads, not some ~50% pads. So, am I running tomorrow guys? What do you think? (Sorry to post in the main section but there are more views here--I'll have the mods move it later.) |

I've lost 1 on my M with no effect to braking (did not notice it until washing the car).
It's purpose is to keep the outer pad firm against the holder-once the caliper mounting slide pins are screwed in the caliper assembly is firmly mounted and pads cannot become dislodged until the slider pins are released. -Go enjoy the track day!! |
