Help Please-which aux jack

After reading hundreds of posts on multiple forums I have come to understand there are 2 different part numbers being used to add an aux jack in the Z4

The BMW Mini Jack part number is 82110153367
The BMW 3 series E46 part number is 82110149389

Can someone please clarify if both of these will work? What is the difference and which one should I order to keep my install simple?

Thanks for any help...Ian

Doesn't matter, AFAIK they're exactly the same. Check my sig for instructions on installing it.

Thanks...your install link indicates swapping wires from the new connector to the existing. Other posts I have read indicate the aux cable plugs right into the back of the radio. Maybe that's why there are 2 different part numbers. The more I read the more I don't understand. Guess I'll just have to pull the radio and have a look at how mine is set up.

Thanks...I just popped out the vents and pulled the radio out. I took some pictures of the rear of the radio for reference. The lower sets of pins have nothing connected left or right so it looks like an aux socket will plug right onto the lower left side pins...if I get the right connector.
That's why I was asking about the 2 different part numbers...if they both have the same plastic socket to plug into the radio then I guess it won't matter which one Which part number is preferred?

I appreciate the help...Ian

If you don't have navi or bluetooth there will be nothing there and you can just plug it in. If you do have navi or bluetooth you need to merge the pins into one connector and plug them all in together.

Hope that clears up the confusion why some people can just plug it in, and others like me had to merge the connectors.

It's in my thread, but I used the mini part (367) just because it was cheaper at the time, so I can vouch that it works and that the connector is identical.
