Re-wrap A-pillars
I'm looking for instructions on how to remove the A-pillars on a M Coupe to re-wrap in leather (previous owner of the car was a smoker and the driver's side pillar has cigarrette markings/burns .
Any help would be appreciated. |

Just pull the top of the A-piller out (toward the inside center of the car) to unclip and then pull the entire piller trim up and out of the dash. The A-piller has a tab that fits into a slot in the dash cowl.
Should take you 1 min. per side. |

Shipkiller, any idea about removing the kickpanel? I can't find anything in the TIS and I nobody answered a separate thread I posted some time ago. I'd prefer not to snap something off on a cold Northeast night!
Thx. |

Post pics when you get done with this I have been thinking about doing the A pillars and headliner in black nappa leather to go with my extended leather interior.

The upper clip is no. 13. It just pulls out and is resuable. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...03&hg=51&fg=40 |

Or something to that effect...google "TIS Spaghetticoder" and you'll find it Otherwise, you can always buy a GT1 off of ebay and build the cable, if you are moderately decent with electronics. Then you never have to go to the dealership again for computer-programmable issues.
