Those specs will fit fine. You can add spacers for a more aggressive stance if you want to make it flush with your fenders. Make sure the PCD is 5x120 with a 72.6 CB.

The original Z4M wheel specs are

F 18 x 8 ET42
R 18 x 9 ET30

So with a ET40 rear, it will be 10mm more tucked in or sunken in compared to OE. It might clear your struts and calipers. If not, spacers will be required.

I'm not so sure that the rear will fit without a spacer, although I have seen someone run one of the front 8" wide rims in the rear in a pinch and it sort of fits. Regardless "those will fit fine" wouldn't be my first recommendation.

At the MINIMUM a 10mm spacer is required to push the track out to the same spec as factory in the rear. Depending on the tire(s) used there might be some rub on the inside without it. Heck when I run 275/35/18 Toyo Proxes on 18" x 9.5" et 26 wheels on the rear, it would rub the inside fender well ever so slightly on high-G corners. And that's only 2mm less inside clearance than STOCK based on offset calculations.

I dunno. I'm not a wheels or tires expert. Those offset looks to be intended for a non-M E36/E46/E85/E86 fitment. I wouldn't run it without a 10-15mm spacer in the rear. But that's just me.

Where's my head at today? Original Z4M rear wheels are 18x9 ET30. ET40 will have 10mm less clearance. OP, measure the inner clearance from suspension to wheel and tires, and see if the 10mm tuck will come in contact. If not, you're in the green. If it does, you need spacers. Also, I spoke to our Rep at TireRack and they have 18x9 ET40 offered for the Z4M and they guarantee no spacers required.

Of course the 225 will not accommodate the 9" wide wheels.
