Stupid question inside...
…I'm sure someone else has noticed that the rear (hatch) ///M emblem is not mounted perfectly horizontally? Is this the case, or has mine been removed/replaced? Did a search and noticed based on some pictures that it looks tilted on some cars, and somewhat straight on other. What gives? Picture angle?

This is how mine look for reference...does it look straight? Since it's only a sticker, it's difficult to tell if it has been tampered with.

Here's mine, other than the fact that it's faded (waiting for Never Done to make the stickers available), does it look about the same to you?

Bubba apparently just slapped the M emblems on at random in Spartanburg. The fender M emblems are notoriously crooked on a ton of cars. One of mine was close, the other, way crooked. I removed them both, huge improvement. My back one seems fine.

Looks good to me I've seen worst alignment. If you still want to adjust it, should be that difficult since it's only held on with double sided tape.

I have an 06 M Coupe and the "M" on the rear hatch is on the right not the left as in the pic above and the "M" on fenders is missing. Anyone run into this? Maybe the previous owner didn't like the "M" where they were.

Some people feel the M emblem belongs on the right side as with all other M cars, and therefore relocated.

My M Roadster was level.
I can speak to the M3's though: Yes, most look 1 degree off, as they are template-mounted, and follow curve of the rear trunk panel; as was the case of the new e92M3 from factory. annoying I put on a black emblem and used my iPhone level when I installed the new one, in my level garage.

Another stupid question: I've read a lot about the regular noises that this car makes; however, I'm still digesting that the engine sound it makes at around 2800-3500rpm is normal. It doesn't sound like a catastrophic rattle, but it definitely sounds like something is a bit noisy during those rpm's. I've read that's considered "normal" vanos noise. Does everyone else have this? Best way to hear it is with the car standing still in neutral, rev up to 2000, and then slowly start incrementing the rpms, eventually at about 2800 rpms or so, the engine will start sounding distinctly louder/different.

Cool! Thanks for confirming...also, has anyone noticed that on a cold start, there's a "whistling" or "air sipping" sound coming from the engine bay? Once the car warms up it's gone. I only hear it on cold starts, and only if I'm standing outside the car, keep the door open, or have the windows down inside my garage.. Anyone heard this before?
