BMW performance carbon shifter

Have any of you seen this yet? I think it may look awesome with my carbon dash.

A friend of mine has one in his Z3MR, and it seems nice, but I personally like some girth to my shtick

All joking aside, I do enjoy the illumination of the OE knob

i had the non-carbon version in my 3.0si and loved it. the down side to the carbon one is that it only comes preassembled with the boot of whatever car you order it for (1'er, 3'er, etc...). so not only do you have to pay a butt-ton more for the knob, you also have to cut the boot off.

it does look good though!

yep that's me. had it a while now, its great. you have to cut away the plastic tri just under the collar - scarey when the thing cost a fortune.

Can any one tell me if the leather boot on the z4m comes over separately from the gear knob? I want to buy the illuminated knob from Leatherz but I dont know if I also need to order the leather boot?

The illuminated Leatherz knob cost over $230. Why not try the OE F10 M5 knob for less than 1/2 price? => http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=764754

You'll have to be a guinea pig on this one though. But if I didn't already have a lighted ZHP knob, I would definitely give it a shot.

So your saying if I buy one for an F10 M5 I was separate the boot from the knob and it will fit on the z4m coupe?
