Differential clatter

Hi Guys,

Just purchased my first 04 Z4 3.0l 6mt out of NC and drove it home to Cornwall Ontario Canada. (16hr total travel time) When i got home I noticed a noise when putting the card in first and releasing the clutch slightly just enough to get the car to start moving forward. The same thing happens when I put the car in reverse. Looks like there's play in the rear differential.

Has anybody had this type of issue before? I would greatly appreciate any feedback.
Dan

I imagine you should still have a few months of warranty left, no?
The dealerships here will honour the US warranty and do any necessary repairs.
Whoe knows, maybe you'll get a new rear dif.
