18 Aftermarket wheel thread
Does anyone know if this exists somewhere? If so, could you point me in the right direction. If not, any interest in starting one? Searching hasn't yielded much and what I do find is not necessarily applicable to the non-M roadster. Thanks.

I should've asked before, but are you running 8.5 front and 9.5 rear? Oh wait, you have an M...

18s are perfect. 17.5lbs each, ride MUCH softer than 19s, better sidewall flex for acceleration, cheaper tires, less chance of damage when hitting a pot hole because you have more rubber around them, and they look great with the stock rotors =)

Eh... I prefer the look of 19s.
These are my new Advan RS in Dark Gun Metallic. Still waiting for the rear pair

Yes, they look very nice. Have you noticed any difference in handling because of the extra size? I'm trying not to add much more weight as I only have the 2.5.

High quality 19" wheels (Rays, Advan, BBS) weigh less than OEM 18". Not really noticeable IMO. I don't agree that a taller sidewall always translates to a more comfortable ride. My 19" Hankook V12 are more comfortable than the OEM 18" Continentals. In fact, the Contis had better go-kart-like handling than the softer sidewall of the Hankooks, but the Hankooks have more grip overall.

19's are fine for show, but 18's mean "business!" I don't know of a fast BMW track car any where that drives on 19's, probably due to tire market options?

19's will make the rear brakes on a 2.5i look like an ant on the edge of a quarter in the middle of a dinner plate.
18's ftw. (imho)

lets keep the 18s vs 19s argument to a seperate thread please. Also, posting M's is ok here because the wheels will look similar on both bodies

MiRó Type 346 a.k.a. M6 Replicas.
Cheap, but still lighter than OEM. I'll be selling in a couple months, so hit me up if you're interested.
