Question V710 for 07 Z4 Coupe (si)

I was reading about the V710's and was looking to get a set of 18's for my Coupe. Would the 18's staggered (8.5/9.5) work with the OEM tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's)?

They recommend 235/40-18 Front,255/35-18 Rear and the ones on my car are 225/45R18 F, 255/40R18 R.

Thanks in advance everyone.
-Shaun

hi,

i ran that same exact setup and everything was fine except the fronts which would rub on full lock. 235 is recommended for the e9x guys but you should run a 245/35 up in the front.

only have crappy iphone pics but you get the idea:

Thanks Dubbed,

You mean 225 or 245? So your stock tires on the V710's rub on the front at full lock? Have you lowered it?

Btw your coupe looks mean, I love it!

no, 245 is correct... i was surprised myself but that was the suggestion i was given. but you can also get away with a 225/40 i imagine.

thanks for the compliments... the pics i posted here are somewhat old, if you check my profile you'll see my latest shots.

What is the difference between the CSL's and V710's from EAS?

i don't think eas makes 710s... alot of companies make their version of csl reps but the 710s are an original design by vmr.

The VMR V710 and the VMR CSL are just different style wheels. Here are some pictures we took:

V710

CSL

We have 18" and 19" wheel/tire packages that work with the Z4. Let me know if you have any questions.

correct but not to confuse op, vmr has their own version of the csl wheels, similiar to how eas has their version.

this is the vmr "csl style", for example:
http://www.**********s.com/product.a...ls_BMW_E60_RS4

although i don't know if they offer this in the e9x/e86 fitment. so maybe the 710s are closest thing to the csl look by vmr. but the 710s while similar looking to the csl is still its own wheel in that it has alot more aggressive concavity. also the spokes are noticeably wider.

Just to clarify, we don't have our own version of the CSL wheels. We only carry VMR brand wheels (CSL, V710, V713, V715). We do, however, exclusively carry matte black and gunmetal finishes.

The V710s would look great on your Z4 Coupe!

They're all great looking choices for your Z4! The Avant Garde wheels are a bit lighter thanks to their low pressure cast construction.

man.. I got to stop looking at these type of threads... I know what my upgrade will be when I need new tires... VB3s in hyperblack or gunmetal will look pretty cool on my black roadster.
