biggest tires without rubbing
How big can I go in front without rubbing? I've got an 04 3.0. The wheels I'm looking at getting are 18x8.5 et40. I want to get a 255 on the front wheel if I can.

i think a 255 would be too big on a lowered car. you may be able to pull it off on stock suspension. i have a 245 on a 8.5 and theres really not much clearance left on stock suspension. its all tire subjective though. some tires run wide, some run narrow

I have the same question, but for the M Coupe. How big can I go front and rear? Can I got 265/40/18 or even 275/40/18? Or do I need to make the sidewall (?) smaller like 265/35/18?

- 225/45/18 and 255/40/18 (stock sizes) - 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 - 245/40/18 and 275/35/18 Both the 235/265 & 245/275 listed above would work with your SSR comps.

I run 285/30/19 rears with no issues at all, however my front 245s have worn right through my fender liners pretty badly. I'm also down ~1.25" or more from stock. |

I tried 255's in the front on 18x9 wheels with ET 38 and there was rubbing on inside liner. 18x8.5 may work depending on offset but it will be close especially if lowered.
