'06 z4 3.0si - picture day
Cleaned the car up yesterday, and thought I would snap a few photos. 2006 z4 3.0si---had it painted jet black in November '12 after someone decided to key every body panel. At that time I had the M bumper put on it, and shaved the badges, included the rear roundel. 95,000 miles on her, and still going.

It was originally black sapphire metallic. The original paint was in great condition until the key hit it. The night it was keyed I had it all cleaned like the photos.
Oh well. I used it as an opportunity to pull the trigger on putting on the M bumper. When life hands you lemons..... |

Beautiful car!!!
I have to say, you are making me very impatient to get my car out of storage and back in the driveway. But I am living in Canada and its still only early April, so I'll just have to stare longingly at those great pics!

I was on the fence on whether to go for the "murdered out" look (ie. matte black). The day the car was painted, the body shop had me take a look before spraying the clear.
The M bumper we had taken to a plastics place so that the reflectors could be filled properly. I asked for all badging to be removed, including front and rear BMW Roundels. The body shop stopped at the front, calling me down and convincing me that removing the front badge would be a mistake, making the front appear "plain". At that stage, I could have gone either way. Now on to the interior. I purchased the piano black film from ECS to cover the aluminum console. I'm just dragging my heels in pulling everything apart to cover it. |

Nice ride. Makes me miss mine even more. Mine is still in storage and won't be ready for use until I get all the goodies put on.

Great looking car! I agree with your keeping the front badge, just the right amount of "personality" for the front. I don't know what it is about the contrast in design/color between your wheels and car, but it's awesome.
