Yep...looks normal to me as well. The lenses need room to swivel up/down.

lokking forward to it. let us know how the cbi bulbs are compared to stock. i have a set of philips 85122 and they were much better than stock already. the cbi do give you that extra white look however without compromising output

Ha ha yeah when I completed the swap I also noticed that gap afterwards! I looked at my friends HID's and realized it's normal.

Let us know how you like them. At almost dusk I notice the freeway signs light up 200 meters down the road!

Did them yesterday. About an hour per side taking your time. Haven't been able to adjust yet, but I'm sure once I do they'll be great. Overall, 4 beer job start to finish. Pretty quick if you have the deep sockets as the nuts stay inside as you finish unscrewing and holding a downward angle on the socket.

One issue - started the whole process by dropping a shorty into the abyss. Yes, lost a short 7mm socket inside the passenger light. Could not see, find or retrieve it for that matter. Suckola. Don't know to the OP would have found a small nut! Used an American standard deep socket in place of as my local auto store didn't have a 7mm deep. Get the deep socket and save yourself the hassle.

We also lost a nut inside and couldn't not find it. We ended up pulling the headlight out completely to retrieve it (meant removing the bumper, disconnecting the headlight washers, plugging the washer fluid hose). Once it was off, we still needed a magnet to grab it.

Once we had the bumper off anyway, we pulled the 2nd headlight and did the rest on the bench. That single nut really increased the length of the job.

I noticed a big visual improvement. I took some pictures but the difference isn't that apparent in the photos. Partly due to me not being good at taking photos. In person, the cutoff is super sharp now and they seem much brighter. Maybe I can take a picture next to someone's stock car to compare.

Sorry to hear about losing stuff in there. I used a mirror to find the nut. Maybe others should use a magnetic deep socket. I think that would solve the issue. http://www.tooltopia.com/grey-pneuma...FQ5qfgodVjAA6Q

Yeah - probably a great idea. I fumbled the short socket putting it on the nut. Oh well, it wouldn't be the first time something couldn't be found after working on a car - maybe even better than having something leftover after you've already reassembled everything. At least where its at isn't a big deal - it shouldn't be going anywhere!

Well if you ever want to get it out of there, you can pull the bumper and remove the headlights . If you need tips on that, let me know.

Thanks - the hassle seems to be greater than the thought of a small $3 socket nicely tucked away in there. I can't believe you pulled yours for the itty bitty little nut.

Not enough beer in the fridge amigo!

Well in my case, I also wanted that nut to go back where it came from If I didn't need it, I might have just left it and hope it got stuck in a location where it didn't rattle.

When you sell your car, you can list it as a "feature". Comes with custom "hidden emergency socket".

Don't take the bumper off - just either of the internal wheel well covers or undo the bottom of the bumper and bounce it around till it rolls out or you can get it with a magnet.

I would have to take it to a shop or place, but I think I would like some one that done it before to help me if possible. Also do I just need to buy one set of 2 lenses or two sets of lenses for our cars, I know it looks like it has 4 projectors but I think both high and low been flashes from the same projector.

Placing this here for reference.
http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/aim/aim.html

Very detailed article on how to properly aim headlights. I adjusted already using the force. I can tell my right projector is most likely pointing too far left. Will fix it once I can find a place to properly pull this off.
