How to get the 07 z4m on 4 jackstands

Im about to change the engine bolts and check the rear sway bar. I have 1 jack pad adapter a low profile alum jack and 4 jack stands. I have searched the forums and there is too much info there, some ppl recom hockey pucks, long jacks, pads for this and that ect. So whats the best way to get our cars up on the stands using what I have thaxs Boyd

Ok so I know were to jack it, now for the stands. I dont have flat jack stands so what points can I use instead, or are there some sort of adaptor so i can use the factory points thaxs. I have never had this much trouble before doing such a simple operation lol

I was wondering the same thing myself. The rear jack points go high enough to lift the front tire (for tire service), but not high enough to slide jack stand under.

I can lift at the rear enough to get the rear pan off, then lower down, then jack up using the diff housing (not the delicate aluminum heat sink).

Guess I'm stuck doing one side at a time or finding some low-low profile ramps. Has anybody tried the Griots ramps? My gorilla ramps won't clear for sure.

I usually drive the car onto ramps in front to get it high enough to get a jack under the front central jack point, then jack and put stands under the front jack points. Then, I use jacks under each of the rear jack points to raise the car high enough to get a jack under the rear central jack point, the point where the braces are tied together behind the rear diff, jack and place stands under the rear jack points.

I have a couple two ton ultra low jacks that I use to jack up my Z4M and E46 M3. I use the metal points under the car. Its very simple. When I was trying on wheels and shipping wheels I would leave it up on my ultra low jackstands.

I actually put one jack under the middle of each side of the Z4 and jack it up evenly on flat ground. Once I get high enough to put a jackstand under I do and make sure the car is even and not rocking to one side or the other. At the same time I use to my small honda jacks as well and as I lift the Z4 up I lock them under the car as a back up incase my two tons fail. Some will disagree with this technique but I have been doing this since 1990 with no issues on any of my cars so I will stick to my experience and what works.

I bought low stands and jack due to my NSX being a lot lower than both my M cars.

I say invest and get another jack. It will make it much easier. If you have a friend that can help, even better.

Good luck.
