LOL... this fact is what cushioned the realization that I'd turned 30. In November is when a ticket will fall off my record and I'll be down to about $110/month with GEICO.

In Massachusetts where I grew up, there are revenue generators with radar guns EVERYWHERE. I got so many tickets I was eventually suspended as a "habitual traffic offender". Before that happened, I was paying about $2500, anally (ahem, annually) for insurance. One reason I'm much happier in California.

This is probably true - however, they were much cheaper with the same coverage for me. I was quoted at $440/month with one company (still much better than the $600/month I was quoted as a new driver at age 16 by Progressive)

I've been in 2 accidents though - I have no tickets outside of these accidents, so luckily they will fall off rather soon (I think the first one from when I was 21 may already have done so if they just go back 3 years)

As some have said, many factors go into your premium.

Age
Driving history
LOCATION
Number of vehicles the company has insured.

Different companies will give different quotes on the same car.

Currently, I am with StateFarm and insure five vehicles plus the house.
The 08 MC, 03 Z4 Roadster, 06 Honda Accord and a 97 F-150. I also have my sons 03 Explorer on the policy until July. Then he gets cut loose.
All but the F-150 have full coverage.

$100 collision deductible/0 comprehensive with very large limits. 500K/1M.
No rental cars provided since I have enough vehicles to cover that.

The MC costs me $600 year....
The Roadster is $500 year....
The Accord is $400 year....
The Explorer is $1200 year...

I keep the collision deductible at $100 since the price difference between $100 and $500 is all of $40 year... not really worth it.

Recently moved to a different part of town, was paying $140ish/mo now dropped down to $128/mo. 30, Allstate, full coverage with multiple policy discount.

Somehow I still feel like i'm getting raked compared to the deals you guys are getting.

Probably your age, location, marital status, house ownership, and / or miles driven per year is/are different from others...

180 a month. 500 dollar deductable all on 01 Pathfinder and 08 MRoadster with State Farm. That comes to about 2k a year. Mid coverage. Im 39 y.o. in PA USA. Clean driving record for 5 years, no points or accidents. I was with Progressive, who will try to put used parts on your car if your in an accident if any are available and your car is > 1 yr old. I was paying about 250 a month with them.

~$450 / 6 months with $500 deductible. It helps if you have more than one vehicle and other deductions like a house and a decent driving record (only a ticket or two). That is for my 3.0si, but from what I have read they are not that different in insurance price. I am 27, single, homeowner and live in Iowa.

That is approximate cause I can't remember the full breakout. I pay $160 a month for $500 deductibles on my 07 Z4, 08 Titan, 08 R6 and that includes my homeowners insurance as well.

Wow that's almost double what I'm paying with Amica. I do have some discounts for being over 30, and for some reason they counted my motorcycle safety foundation course from when I got my motorcycle years ago.
