part number help please...///M roadster
guys, the battery cover in the boot for the z4m roadster, its help on by 3 plastic screws at the base, anyone got a part number for these, mine are all chewed up and dont look decent at all, more to the point, they're damaged...... ive looked on realoem and can find the correct piece but it doesnt list the little plastic screws!!
look at the battery cover and you'll see the three screws holding it at the base, note these screws don't show on real oem...... http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...54&hg=51&fg=65 before anybody says its part number 4... its not ;-) thats a different screw for a different area ;-) helllllpppppppppppp!!! i did post in cosmetic area them decided i wouldn't get the traffic!!

I think it is missing the item. Did you try an autoparts store? I can't tell you for sure, but I think I ran across a generic equivalent to these when I was looking for some hardened washers a couple of months back. Not BMW parts, but if they work, and don't look ugly, who cares? Maybe worth a look if you're close to a store?

Okay, you're probably going to scream in pain, but what about asking the stealer? My stealership is happy to look up part numbers for me (this washer, that bolt, this nut, whatever). Do you have a reasonably local stearler? Can't be more than a few quid all told I'd think? If you get nowhere, I can try to source them for you and send them over. |

I was asking about something similar for the battery/mobility kit cover on the coupe not long ago.
Parts shown here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=DU93&mospid=49424&btnr=51_6101& hg=51&fg=65 The 90-degree twist fasteners I needed were #11 in that diagram. There was another part I needed, too that was missing, and not shown on the real OEM site, too. It WA a lockin tab that one of the twist locks fits into, and fastens to the battery tray. Not sure how the roadster an coop compare in he boot, though. |

hi shak, thanks for your help, the roadster uses different fastners for this but i guess it wont hurt to order a few and see if they work???
the fasteners are hex headed plastic screws in the roadster luggage compartment....
