(Friday night went on an Easter Egg Hunt, and tour to Campbellville with the Trillium Miata Club.
Before others arrived, our Fearless Leader set out, hiding E.Eggs everywhere, behind the local Tim's. Base of lamps, edge of the parking lot...the usual places. It had been advertised as a BYOB. Bring your own basket.
Though I didn't see it, a trucker came over (Tim Horton's, he delivers) and handed a pack of cigarettes to our lonely Fearless Leader. The trucker kindly thought of helping the poor soul who could only be looking for butts...
Perhaps we were all dressed a little strangely as we set out on a 3 hour run with tops down.)

We had a good tour, in spite of an encounter with a truck spraying water to wash down the country roads. He did stop, and shut down the spray. Later we passed along roads with evidence of recent horse travel. I radioed Doug (Fearless Leader) and asked him next time to schedule the car wash after the Road Apples!

Dave,

I'm sure Spring will arrive in Canada (sooner or later). That's a funny story about the truck driver with the cigarettes. Somewhere, I suppose there is a nice church lady who stopped to hand a decorated Easter Egg to a homeless buy looking for a used cig...

Ksquared,

I've heard of Rsquared... Maybe your brother?

You're right on regarding the Lincoln--good spotting.

The photos were taken with a Canon SX10 IS "super zoom" camera. It's not too large, has a multitude of features, and is very flexible as a result of its 20x zoom. They're not all that expensive, either.

Of course, the other secret is high dynamic range (HDR) photography, which allows the shadow and highlight details to show. Give it a try sometime (check out the Photomatix website for lessons).

Rick--you're right! Spring has finally arrived. Snowtires are off on the bimmer and S5. The world is looking brighter now!
