Z4 MCoupe Chipped Wheel Warranty??

Has anybody had issues with chipped wheels (Paint) and had the issue covered by BMW warranty? I discovered the right rear wheel chipped and the area is about the size of a quarter and not from any impact. SA asked who put the winter tires on but this is not in an area that would be touched when mounting. I actually had to make an appointment so service manager can see the wheel. Too busy to take 10 minutes to look last Friday. I am wondering if anybody had had this issue and was the wheel replaced under warranty?

Unless you bought the optional wheel and tire warranty, you're out of luck this time. Wheels and tires are highly prone to road hazards which are not covered under the car's warranty unless you can prove the car did it to itself under "normal" operating procedures.
