To anyone with a Supercharged M54...
Hey all! So I have a Z4 3.0i, 2003, with and lately I've been considering saving money to put towards a supercharger. But before I do all of that, I want to ask the people what they think of it! How does the car respond to boost? What kind of preparation did you have to do to it? What kind of numbers are you making? Would you ever sell your kit? Finally, how is the reliability affected? Thank you! I just don't want to save all of this money and be horribly disappointed.

No disappointments for me.
Been improving on the base kit since 2013. My build has evolved from the 6psi kit I bought. Can never have too much torque IMO. If I had one tip to give you, it would be to get a proper tune right off the bat. I screwed around for a year with the kit maker and with a well known tuner for 3 years after that before finding a tuner who understands the Z4 DME. I have not dyno ed my car, but based on the air flow recordings through the MAF from the logs my M54 is more than double the factory HP ratings.
