2 hard tops on ebay - 10 hours left!

One crazy looking carbon fiber hardtop:

Plus this Z4 with a hardtop included:

If you're local you could probably buy it separate from the car.

That first hardtop is from a company called D Moris.
Too bad that hardtop turned out so ugly, because when they presented the drawings for it (artist impression) it looked awesome.

What is the appeal of getting a hard top? I've seen a few threads in various forums asserting that it isn't really good to let your top completely soak in rain especially heavy downpour so I get that part. I also know its not good to put the top down right after it has rained and is wet as it will get mouldy. After a big rain you could remove the hard top and be able to drive with the top down right away since it was already down. So two reasons there I guess?

But I've also heard you don't want to leave the top down all the time for extended periods of time (as you would cause it to crease/wrinkle permanently and break down) which would making using the hardtop all the time a bit of an dicey business for the long run (kind of making winter use a no go right?).

Anything I've missed in my thought process on this one?
