haha, just get a full money-back guarantee from them and give it a shot

Either that, or stick with a trusted vendor/tuning brand. Such as Active Autowerk, or ESS, or BrenTune, etc.

actually on the website, they have a seven day money back guarantee, and also have "insurance" on each tune whatever that means... they actually seem very legit. so i guess im gonna be the test hamster for now.

^visited the pily motorsport authorized dealer for veizu webpage, and it's rather bland. seems focused at high end cars though. looking to get a tune?

I honestly don't think 7 days is enough to set your mind on a tune. Unless you're relentlessly driving the car for every single one of those 168 hours

to be completely honest...its probally junk. the only company that has software for the n52 is active autowerke and that just came out. i believe that ess has euro n52 software but its not available in the us. i would check out e90post na tuning forum for more up to date info though. unless ess has a north american tune i would just send the dme off to active.

i actually spoke to the owner of pily, and a contact at veizu. i was very impressed with both companies. veizu was very fast with a response for every question i had, they even contacted pily for me and gave them my contact info. Pily says they will read my ecu and send the data to veizu who will make a tune for me and i should get the tune in a day after the initial read. pily just opened by the way, evidentally the owner fled mexico is what i heard....

Please do a before and after dyno for the ECU tune! I'm curious to see how other ECU's are doing, now that more and more are coming out to market

i just got the tune done earlier today. no dyno numbers but i can tell there is some added strength all through the powerband. I will say that from first to second my car will actually fishtail if your not careful, also i put it in second gear from a 40 roll and floored it and the traction control light kept flashing all the way throught the gear. i have a friend who i always compare my car to after i change something so ill have to put it to the test but for now it feels pretty good.

p.s. they did have a specific tune for the si. it took about 45 minutes to tweak the base map that they had for my car and then send it back.

yeah they have a map for the m. according to the website, the m gains 18bhp and 28nm. it was 575 out the door, and the owner does it himself, good guy, his name is pepe over at pily motorsports.

^thanks! i'll write to both veizu and pily and might go with their ecu tune. does either veizu or pily warranty their work? i'm somewhat confused by their 'insurance' thing on their tunes.

no idea either.... i think its veizu that warranties the work, whatever "warrenty" means in this situation.

an update: am going to be visiting pepe at pily motorsport tmr to discuss a little more about the ecu tune and perhaps getting a proper detail done sometime. extremely chatty guy with a definite mexican accent, and as far as i can tell from their updated website, quite reputable among the high-end car owners. the 599 gto owner in san antonio took his ferrari there immediately after picking it up from the dealership to have it 100% detailed inside and out. honestly speaking, it always looks absolutely pristine, concours-type clean at the coffee and rides meet.

veizu can set up a custom ecu map for me with my gruppem and rpi gt mufflers, which should put out in total more than the quoted numbers of 18bhp and 21ftlbs. pretty damn good. now to see if there's a dyno somewhere

oh, and he quoted me $550 out-the-door.

Why not Active Autowerke tune, special promo price of $399 and they're a reputable tuner...?

$399 is an awesome price for an active autowerke ecu tune, but i don't wish to have to remove my dme for the privilege? plus there aren't any active autowerke authorized dealers nearby in the san antonio/austin area.
