Your best bet it to change the whole shebang while you're in there. Also, put some thought in changing out the rear main seal too. At the very least, change out that clutch friction disk with the T/O bearing.
Side note, if you change out the clutch parts, remember to get new pressure plate bolts, they're stretch bolts and really should be changed.

My Z had it's clutch replaced, by I let the dealership do it. I recommend replacing the clutch and pressure plate while you're in there changing the throw out bearing. The parts aren't that expensive.

Searched and didn't find much info (mind you haven't looked into the e46 forums yet).

My clutch is starting to go...so I'm starting to look up replacements. Since this is my casual driver that I intend to supercharge, I figured upgrading the clutch should be done at the time I replace it. I haven't been able to find much information.

I'm hoping to get a single mass lightened flywheel, is this possible? Also, what are my options. Are there stage two clutch kits?

6 speed paired to M54B30.

I have a review out there on my lightweight flywheel setup. I'm going to have to sell it within the next year and move to a solid steel flywheel, if I can find it. The car is a blast to drive with the lightweight flywheel, but I'm about to build the motor for 15 psi of boost and am concerned about harmonic vibrations. If you decide on a lightweight flywheel, I would recommend moving to the ATI super damper from VAC at the same time.
