Polished style 104

I just got me an 03 Z4 and it came with a polished style 104 wheel. I know it is not the prettiest or desirable OEM BMW wheel but how rare is it that this wheel was polished? Actually I have not seen any factory polished BMW wheel.
It may look chrome in the picture but I can assure you it is not.

How do you know it's polished from the factory? I haven't seen that either. And wow, that's a lot of rubber you got there. Looks like it belongs on a SUV

That did not come polished from factory, someone had it done after the car went on the road, even the lug bolts aren't OEM.

Yeah, that is kinda what I suspect. Actually I thought it was aftermarket until I looked it up at bmwstylewheels.com
I got the car from the second owner who doesn't really know much about the car since he got it as CPO.
The tires are factory size 225/50/16. I am now in the process of replacing this set with a 17.

225/50/16 is meaty. You must love the comfy ride That might be the factory size for the base Z4, but very few of them got those wheels, at least from what I've seen on the forums. More likely to find 17's or even 18's from the factory. Since you are replacing the wheels anyways, you might as well look into 18's. Going to 17's will look nice, but going to 18's will be even nicer. You can look up the width/offset specs at that same website for Style 107 and 108 which are the 2 versions for 18" factory wheels on our Z4.
