Need Tire Advice

My wife needs new tires for her 2008 Z4 3.0si. She has the OE Bridgestone Potenza run-flats, but they need replacing. She has made some inquiries and has been told that she should replace the Potenzas with Bridgestone Driveguard run-flats. (She wants run-flats and I want her to have them for the security of it.) She has been told that the Potenzas are being phased out in favor of the Driveguards and that the Driveguards will provide superior performance as well. Additionally, she can get the Driveguards at a very competitive price.

She has the 17" wheels and 225 45 R17 tires with an automatic transmission.

Has anyone had any experience with the Driveguards and how they stack up against the Potenzas? Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks.
