i didn't want to create a new thread....and wasn't sure where to put this.

parking it here seems semi appropriate. bought this car recently, finally got around to changing all the fluids and connections before next season's debut at the track.

the cig is no big deal lol, just thought it was funny. there was a lot of stuff in there.

As one part of those floating calipers is fixed to the hub and the floating part gets immobilized by the piston pushing the inner pad against the outer sandwiching the rotor, you should see that much movement from the floating discs unless the piston was compressed on purpose right?

It's true floating discs do move, but movement is less than .5 mills. (Laterally) This much movement is not correct. Nor is it in the correct axis.

Fixed them today. Nothing was screwed tightly. There were like 3 screws actually right in a star formation but the remaining I could unscrew with my hand  not sure what the previous owner was thinking, hope it was just oversight bc of the quick sale.

Wow, imagine doing a driving event with the discs floating a bit too much then, that wouldn't like too good. Always a good thing to check vitals before doing any spirited driving :-)

Just that time....enjoyed it for 5 years, time to move onto something a little more exotic....looking at a 360 or Gallardo....I'll probably sell my beloved M3 next to further help with the cost

I promised it I would wash it. It's been cold and rainy here in the northeast and I need to just settle myself in the garage and do a no-rinse wash.

I will personally make a trip from Lex to take a look at either one of those.

I may just have to steal it.

Well, I'm moving to NC in June, so that car won't be coming around for a while....but if I'm ever back in town for a weekend, I'll be sure to bring it by the Louisville Cars & Coffee

You really want to sign up for a new clutch every 20k miles?

I think the clutch wear is an issue with the E gear....not interested in the E Gear...will only buy a manual

My turbo M3 makes more power and I'm not afraid to get in there and replace the clutch when it goes. I'm not afraid to go to KY Clutch and have them make me one at a fraction of the cost of an OEM Lambo clutch, with better material, at a fraction of the cost....

Put her up for the winter. I guess I'll get a stubby for her but other than that she will be nice and cozy in the garage.

Just bought some replacement ///M stripe stickers from Neverdone Garage.

The guy running the joint is a standup guy, it doesn't list the z4M stripes, but if you contact him, he will help you out.

It's going to be a busy Christmas fitting all the stuff I have to the car..
