Doods - what parts would I need for my 2006 3.0 si roadster? I've looked at the links and I'm not sure which one I should get.

Cheers!

Just got my alarm activated at a local BMW Indy shop that had the gt1 software, also turned on the clown nose, changed the blinker setting to 3 flashes and disabled the drl's. If you're in the tri-state area I'll let ya know the name of thr place I went to...

I am in North Jersey. I would like to know how much they charged you and wonder how much dealer would have charged. Thanks

Dealer quotes vary since its not your standard job on the books but Difeo in Tenafly wanted $200 just for activation (total time takes less than 1hr!). Impressive Auto Center in queens did everything for only $75. Ask for Leo, he'll take care of you!

Take advantage folks...no idea how long BMW will keep the pricing like this..it's a heck of a deal..I guess they just want rid of them?!?

installed mine tonight. It took me about 40 minuted and the majority of the time went into properly jacking up the car. Thanks to Tischer guys for selling it so cheap and the wonderful people who did the pictorial DIY. My car now chirps everytime I lock/unlock. Best 37 bucks spent

Remember though, you need to take it to the dealer to get activated. Once it's activated, you can test by activating the alarm, but then opening the trunk with the key fob (w/o deactivating alarm) and it should go off. If you do this now, chances are the alarm won't go off since it hasn't been activated.

Thanks for the part number on the complete system.

How about getting the other items done with a flasher. Any hand-helds out there we can purchase to do these ourselves? Would love to activate the three click turn and whatever else is available.

Awesome. Ordered ours yesterday. I'm going to see if I can activate it with the Bavarian Technic tool. Worth a try....

Got mine earlier this week and installed it yesterday. Really quick & easy install. Now have to get it activated by the stealership. Nice to have the chirp... the flashing lights alone were hard to make out during the daytimes sometimes to know if you had locked the car.

it'll "chirp" out of the box but it won't actually work. definitely need to take it to someone with a gt1 for activation. i went to a shop in queens, not too far from us. ask for leo at impressive auto center, he did the install on my z4 so he'll remember me and know exactly what to do.

Motor Works West in Wyckoff is 100. I am getting some quotes locally since Queens is so far away and I hate the city traffic

i felt the same way but it surprisingly wasn't bad. took the gwb, fdr, midtown tunnel, and it's the 2nd exit coming out of the tunnel. from the gwb, took me all but 30 mins or so. but for convenience, i'd pay the $17 i suppose (impressive charged 75, throw in 8 for tolls).
