Ground Control Track School Coilovers

On the car for about 6 weeks weekend use only; one track day.
Complete kit including:
- hybrid camber/caster plates
- 500/600 lb spring rates.
- RSM rear shock mount.

Selling because:
- as documented in several posts the camber/caster plates leave a little to be desired.
- There is a funny noise (like things shifting into place) when first starting out & wheel at full lock.
On the road, they are perfectly quite and perform great.
Talked to Jay at CG, they say that the camber plates bind a bit when new, they just need to break in
- I found a great local deal on KW Clubsports that I couldn't pass up.

These COs are $1850 new plus shipping.
I'm looking for $1500 local pickup or +shipping

They're coming off the car this weekend.
I'll post actual pics at that time.

Wow Ian do GC really go for this much? I remember back in the day for the Honda S2000 the Ground Control setup was like $600 new and the lower end of the suspension chain for the Acura NSX/Honda S2000. I ran Spoon, Moton, Aragosta/Top Secret, Ohlins, Mugen, etc when my cars were in the magazines and at the track. I am assumming they have come a long way since 2004-05?

Just asking btw. Please educate me here.... I am running KW Variant V3's now so how do these compare to the KW's? KW's are cheap (best bang for the buck) compared to Moton or Top Secret...

IIRC some of the GCs were just conversion kits for stock struts.
Those are still pretty cheap.

These track kits are complete Koni struts.
They are still the best bang for the buck @$1850 when you consider it is c/w camber/caster plates & RSMs.

Was the noise when turning the wheel to full lock like a popping or pinging metallic type noise? If so, it could've been installed incorrectly, I had the same issue with my GC camber plates - there is a possibility to install it where the assembly doesn't end up turning on the bearing cup in the upper perch, so when you turn the wheel at low speeds there is rotational tension (not sure the exact term) put on the spring and it will spin in a "popping" fashion (ie, in short quick jerky spins, rather than 1:1 as you turn the wheel)

It's not install related.

I hope I wasnt out of line at all. I was just wanting clarification. The ones you posted look awesome and a lot better than the old 2000-2005 stuff I saw.

GLWS.
