DSC off!

I know I'm gonna sound that I waste my car away
but today, it was raining hard in Chicago, and my school parking lot was very empty and damp, and after recently finding out on zpost.com, that if you press "DSC off" you tun it off completely, i think for the first time, i turned off my traction control, and did a couple of donuts.

But I've got to tell you guys, as you probably know, even though it was terrifying in the beginning, it was so much fuuuuuuunnnnnnnn The M has so much power.

I just love it!!!!

Don't want to rain on your parade, err donut, but any Z will do it, even on dry pavement. But it is fun for sure, and a lot easier on the tires in the wet!!

Wow I must be so lame too! I've had it off for a total of maybe 2 minutes. I guess if I got to drive my car a bit more regularly I'd have more confidence to hit the button

I see no need to turn it off except when I'm at autox events. It's not a very intrusive traction control system, especially compared to the E39 system.

If i get the rear end out even a little it steps in and cuts power. I am surprised you don't mind when you auto cross.

I don't push the car to the point of breaking the rear end loose on the streets. If anything, I have issues with the front end pushing.
At an autox I turn it off to control the reat end rotation around high speed sweepers.

On the E39 it may kill power as your trying to cross an intersection because one of the wheels slipped a little on dirt. That might cause an issue if your trying to get across the intersection quickly. The Z4 M doesn't have the immediate torque levels to have the same effects from a moderate start.

Hard start, you gotta turn it off. Aside from that...I let it do its thing.
