There is no way that the Cayman S is worth the extra bag of money that it costs over the Z4MC. The reason for its price tag is the Porsche logo on the front. That said, if someone offered me one I wouldn't say no...

for the money the Mcoupe is a better deal....if the mcoupe didnt exist..id be in the cayman

Peter Egan summarized the difference best back in 2006 when Road & Track compared the two. The Z4M is an engine with a chassis, and the Cayman S is a chassis with an engine. The slight performance advantage of the Cayman was attributed to the superior tires that Porsche used. The two cars are so close in performance that choosing between the two is a matter of personal taste, brand loyalty, or economics.
