Congratulations! Curious if you have the Rogue X-Pipe too?

After charging you then need to pair it to the car again.

I would try the key repair/battery repair place posted above. Seems like a good deal compared to what BMW will charge.

Agreed, this car has some serious magic mojo... it's both technically outstanding yet has SOUUUULLLL to burn.

sounds like a flat battery in the remote. You need to drive 150+miles to charge the battery up, then reprogram the key, details all over the internet. Having said that, I did all this and the damned thing didnt work....until the next morning when, for some unknown reason it worked just fine and has now done so for months. I flattened the battery by jamming the key unlock button down, in error, over night. Found the roof down in the morning and no remote function!

Yeah, it looks like the battery just finally died. It DID last 9 years. I replaced it with a battery off of ebay. I made the mistake of not putting insulation between the battery and circuit board and it threw me off since the only button that didn't work was the middle one. All set now.

EDIT: damn, I now see that I'm not the OP in this thread. LOL. I thought this was the thread I had started. Oh well, I'll post anyway since there's a lesson learned.
