1.5" Stubby?
http://www.mangowalk.com/index.php?c...num%20Antennas
Anyone have any experience with the 1.5" stubby? I see many here use the 3". If 3 is good, 1.5 can only be better The kid is loving the car (Me too!) |

My lady busted out laughing while reading this thread title over my shoulder, that said, I use the 3" and it gets the job done...I'm sure the 1.5" works, but like the 3" it would naturally choke down reception *some*. If you don't use the radio much, give it a test.

Yes, the reception wont be as good. Especially AM stations, I could barely get ESPN...But it definitely gives the car a cleaner look

The fender antenna is only for AM stations.
The FM antenna is in the rear bumper. |

Explains why I took off the factory whip antenna and the FM radio still played perfectly without it. I was thinking a stubby is going to work just fine. I never use AM (in a car!) Had a great drive today. Kid still too scared to get into much traffic and that's ok. |

Confirms what I thought all along. It uses a diversity antenna system for the FM so both the outside antenna and the inside bumber antenna are used for FM. Steve |

http://www.shipkiller.com/Antenna_System.html http://www.shipkiller.com/Diversity%20Amplifier.pdf The DA might be faulty and you are pulling HF (FM) from the AM antenna. You might have an issue and don't know it..... |
