18x9 +40 Tire size and flush look questions

Hi,

I have a set of wheels for the rear, they are 18x9 +40. My questions:

- to get a flush look, how can I accomplish this? I assume spacers? what size?
- what is the widest tire I can run on this? I was told 275 but a bit of bulg. Anyone have photos of 275s on a 18x9 wheel?

Thanks in advance!

Also, I will be lowering the vehicle about 1.5" around with coilovers.

I'm running 265x35x18 all around, 12mm spacer up front and 18mm in the rear. Lowered about 1.5" on coilovers. Its a good fit, minor fender lining in the front that can be cured with a heat gun. You can probably be more flush on a 22-23mm spacer in rear, and 15mm spacer in front if you roll the fenders

Thanks for the pic. What are the offset of your wheels?

275 is way too wide for a 9". I wouldn't go past 265 on that width.

I am looking at a set of MRR GT-7's with 35 offset on front and rear, will would I need spacer to get the wheel all the way out to the wheel wheel? 8.5 x 18 35et and 9.5 x 18 35 et.

Regards

I had bought four SSR Type C 18x9+45 wheels for my Z4 M Coupe and bought a mix of spacers to try out. I wound up using different wheels and never mounted tires on on the SSRs for fitment, but I still have the spacers.

The spacers (they are nice) are for sale and listed here - http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=655700
