2011 M3 ZCP (359M) wheels on Z4 M Coupe?
Hi all - I have an E92 that I am selling right now, and I am pretty much dead set on replacing it with a Z4MC. I am contemplating removing the ZCP package wheels I have on the M3 right now, and saving them for the Z4, but I'm worried they are going to have some fitment issues... In case you didn't know, the 359M's are:
Front 19x9" ET31 (25.4 LBS, 31mm offset) - BMW Part # 36-11-2-284-055 Rear 19x10" ET25 (26.6 LBS, 25mm offset) - BMW Pat # 36-11-2-284-060 Thing is also, they are shod with brand new Hankook Ventus V12 255/35 and 285/30 tires...same setup as the M3 GTS. I also have the OEM 18" gun metal 219M wheels too, but those are currently wearing the OEM Michelin tires with the huge sidewalls. What should I do? I love the CSL style wheels on the Z4 M Coupe (yea I know, I sold out already!) but I don't want to hang on to them if they are going to be too ridiculous on the Z4. But I did pay a good amount of cash for the setup, so it would be a shame to let them go on a trade-in or something. Also, they have the 2009+ tpms modules in them too... which would be useless on any Z4 M coupe... I do know that the '06's don't have modules and use wheel speed. Any thoughts are appreciated! The wheels fit fine (I've test fit the same set up); however, you may have some rubbing in the rear w/285's and you will definitely need to run at least -2.0 camber up front to run the 255's (245/35 and 275/30 would be a better fit.)

crap that's what I was afraid of....but bottom line, the wheels do fit, and it wouldn't be the end of the world to swap out tires, since I'd wanna remove the TPMS modules anyways, or swap em with the Z4 M modules (depending on year purchased).
Thank you for your response! |

If you are on stock suspension/camber the fronts will rub. My car currently has the 219M wheels with the 245 and 265 tires mounted and the only reason I don't rub on the front is because my front bumper is slightly "stretched" or flexed by the APR splitter I have mounted.
Keep in mind the 359Ms are wider than the 219Ms or the 220Ms and you are running wider tires on them to begin with. |

The wheels will fit but the tires will be your problem. 285/30 is a tough fit depending on the tire and the 255/35 will be almost impossible to run in the front. Tire width is not your problem rather over all tire diameter is what will cause you issues with that set up. Go with a 275/30 and a 255/30 and you locked, cocked and ready to rock

Great stuff guys, really appreciate you all chiming in. Tempted to yank the 359Ms off the M3 this weekend.
Anyone have pics of a Z4 MC with these wheels? Seen a lot of CSL pics, but not any of the ZCP wheels specifically... |

Here's a thread from a while back on the topic: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=571362
Has some pics of reps fitted to a white Z4MC and a photoshop I did on a black one.

I am looking at a set of apex ec-7 in these exact same sizes and I wondered if the 18x9+31 with a 245/40/18 would fit up front without a bunch of camber. I am lowered on H&R coilovers and am running about -1.7 degrees camber

Thanks - that means I *could* use the 219M's that I have, as-is with the tires that are on them (as opposed to trying to make the ZCP's work). Also, a member here has a smokin deal on some Alufgen's with rubber...so this all may be for not. I would probably do my best (money-wise) if I were to sell the virtually new ZCP package, and put the 219M's back on the M3 when I sell it.

That makes the most sense financially. Sell the M3 with the 219s and sell the 359s separately while having enough left over for a decent set with the right fitment for the Z4 M
Truth be told though we don't do a lot of things here that makes sense financially |

As of tonight, the 219M's are all washed up and back on the M3! I will probably hang on to the ZCP wheels until the M coupe arrives (just to play around for kicks) but I am also going to try to get the Alufgen wheels/tires from the guy here on the forum too so I will be ready to go! Thanks again for all of your guys' help and most importantly, moral support! -C |

I am planning to run some 359's on my Roadster also. Going to test fit it hopefully by next week.. So if I run stock height and camber would I need spacers?

the M3 was picked up by its new owner last night along with the 219M wheels.... I did end up buying the Alufegens off the board member here, but I like the 359M wheels better- so I pulled the 245/35 and 275/30 rubber off the Alufegen wheels and ditched the 255/35 285/30 tires that were on the ZCP wheels. I am now running the ZCPs with the smaller tires and all seems ok.
But..... I have already picked up some HR springs. Now that will be the real test, and I will likely have to go negative camber and new alignment of course....I think it will be worth though, because it's looking pretty good with the ZCP wheels so far! just needs a little drop. I have some spacers too (5mm and 12mm), but I can't see using them with the M coupe/ZCP wheel combo...they already stick out plenty (too much?) on the Z4 M, and I don't *think* there are any suspension rub issues. Hey Chamberlin, if you're looking to sell your 359s I will take them off your hands. Just PM me your price if you're interested.
Cheers!

I just rolled the car out to wash it (hopefully before the monsoon hits!) so these pics are camera-phone quality, and of a dirty car!
