recommended tire pressure for ps all season tires on 19" wheels on a z4m
Hi everyone, i was hoping the experts here could help me out. I have a 2007 z4m coupe and I recently had my wheels changed to 19" adv 5.1s and i put pilot sports all season plus tires on them. Front 245/19 and back 275/19.
I found out that the shop inflated the tires to 41 psi (measured after about 5 minutes of driving at about 15-20 mph)- the car is a really stiff ride and tends to almost jump into the air on crappy roads of which we have a lot in new york. I was thinking of bringing the pressure down to 34-35 psi - any thoughts ? My car has a sticker that recommends 30psi all around for the stock wheels/tires but i couldn't find anything that translates that into different wheel/tire sizes. |

For street use, just go with 33 psi all around. Make sure the tires are completely cold! Even 1 mile of driving is enough to warm up the air inside the tire. Inflate tires when you go to your garage in the morning or something, before you even turn the car on.

its rougher because you went with 19" wheels and most likely a smaller sidewall. There is nothing wrong with following the sticker on the door sill regardless of your setup for the street.

I've got 18s but I've been doing a little 'research' for my daily driving gas consumption...not really documented, sorry.
But I've noticed over the past few months that 31psi gets me the best MPG around town (220 avg). I've gone with 30 (recommended), 31, 32, 33. I didn't get really technical with it. Since I don't have my own air compressor I'd drive on base (1.5 miles) adjust the tires then fill up a new tank and drive til the light came on. Take it for what you want. lol It gives *me* a warm fuzzy. lol!!! EDIT: PICS of the wheels!!! definitely a great second post....
