Who uses aux jack for iPhone connection?

I tried it but there is too much static noise..... can't stand it
its monster jack 24k gold plated as advertised. I will probably return it.
Or what if jack is not the problem?? anyone have similar experience?

I use it and have no problem with my ipod. I had a similar problem to what you describe and discovered that my ipod volume setting was very low. Turning the volume up to max removed all the static/hiss.

No problem here! Using a cheapo $2 cable from Monoprice. Like other said, turn the phone volume all the way up might help

Mine eventually developed static and turned out to be the audio cable had gone bad due to the constant bending. Now I use a right angle plug and don't have any issues.

It works great in my Z4 but in my parents 2008 X3 (same radio) there's a bunch of background noise. But it goes away if I use a line out dock cable instead.

Not iphone, but android. Only time I get static is if I have the charger plugged in while connected to aux input.
