Strut brace question
Quick question, I took my father's strut brace out of his MR (he's selling the car) and asked my mechanic to put it on my M coupe. He told me the brace was too close to the sensor at the top of the engine that it could damage the sensor if car goes over uneven surface. The brace is from Turner motorsports, so not some cheap brand. Has this happened to anyone else before? I'm a little puzzled given there was no issue with fitment on the MR.

This has happened to me - search for my strong strut installation and you'll find that not all engines/idle air tube sit at the same height. This may have to do with age of engine mounts, air tube tolerance, etc

I have the Turner brace and it fits fine on my M. Not even close to touching. But I did see on strong struts site about the differences.
