GB: Z4 Alarm Kit $100

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 100.00

Item Interest
I posted an interest thread a month ago and now have the sirens from the UK. These are Mini branded sirens but are identical to the BMW branded models that were originally included in the dealer alarm kits.

I was able to get a better price on the sirens than I originally expected so the shipped price for US buyers is now $100 and the Canada shipped price is $115

The kits include a lightly used siren and new OEM BMW hardware/switch/bracket identical to BMW OEM alarm kit 65730302424 kit for E85 and E86 cars:

QTY Description
1 Hood Switch
1 Bracket (for Switch)
3 M6 Hex Nut w/Captive Flat Washer
1 Siren w/ Built in Tilt Sensor
1 Bracket (for Siren)
1 ST 4.8-2 Cage Clip
1 ST 4.8x16 Hex Head Screw

E85/E86 (M) Installation Instructions:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...8#post11792648

E85/E86 (Non-M) Installation Instructions:
http://www.unofficialbmw.com/images/6115EN.pdf

I will have the first 3 kits ready to ship on Friday 6/13, order of payment determines priority.

If you would like to participate, please send payment via paypal to m550d2@gmail.com

Shipped:

First 3 kits shipped but UPS are crooks with their $15 "customs fee" and I am forced to raise the price for shipping to Canada.

I still have a few more sirens. If @ZeD4Mr @axp2948 @cotton90 or anyone else is interested, please send me a PM to confirm your purchase and I will get the brackets/hardware ordered for you. I plan to ship the next batch before July 4.

The first 3 kits have been delivered, hopefully the buyers will chime in with their feedback.

I installed mine today and it took about 30 mins, really easy. The alarm chirps when I lock unlock the car. I just need to get it coded now. Thanks for all the equipment ferrarif1, all nicely packaged and labeled!

I haven't committed yet because I still don't know what is currently on my car (06' z4mc). The clown nose blinks sometimes, there is no chirp when locking, and there is no hood sensor. THIS weekend I will crawl under the back and pull the panel to see if the siren is actually there...

No problem, let me know what you find. I will take a look at my car later but I believe you can see the siren bracket without disassembling if you know what (and where) to look for.

Also, It is possible to code for the clown nose without the siren, this may be what you will find.

I just had mine coded at my local Indy for $45. It works like a charm now with the chirp and lights flashing with arm/disarm.

Canada price back at $115, I figured out that USPS is really a better way to go than UPS on this.

I have two more unsold alarm kits that should be ready to go on July 11 or before. The siren brackets take 2-3 weeks to come from Germany and as soon as these arrive, kits will be shipped out.

This is a great buy, even if it just gives you the panic button option (for the missus).

Does 'Preparation Alarm System' listed in optional equipment mean my car is only prewired for the alarm? If so, I'll take one if still available, thanks

All North America Z4's should be prewired for the alarm and this takes less than 30 minutes to install on Z4M, longer on a Z4.

There is one caveat to the prewiring on some 2005 models where BMW forgot to include a cable and this needs to be added before alarm installation. If you have a 2005, PM me your VIN so I can confirm that you don't need anything extra before sending payment.

I assume on E86s there is a harness plug taped up somewhere on the chassis waiting for a mate?
