do you think spacers would work with oem 8.5 wheels in 18 so the rear look a little better and not so tuck in?

Definitely because at one point I had OEM E90 sport wheels which had an offset of 13mm less and those looked great. 10mm would do the trick. Plus you really don't want to go crazy with spacers much thicker than this as it might lead to premature wear on hubs, not to mention the add'l weight.

I ran 15mm in the rear w/ oem setup, so 10 is fine

Upto you, 10mm is better than nothing and better to be conservative than too aggressive and risk rubbing or what not. Worst case you can resell considering how cheap I'm offering these.

btw, the difference of 5mm is only 0.195", less than 1/5th of an inch.

Just to put in perspective, 10mm is 0.4", so slightly less than half an inch. I originally chose 10's since it would be noticeable without going so thick that it'd be cause for concern. 12mm would be the max I'd want to go...
