Antenna help

So I was trying to install a stubby antenna and things didn't go so well. Took the stock antenna off with a set of pliers.

I noticed the bolt for the stock antenna was messed up(I don't know the proper terminology) after removing the antenna.

The stubby antenna came with inserts. I'm just wondering how to remove the stock insert so that I can install the insert that came with the stubby.

Hopefully I'm not rambling and someone knows what I'm talking about. Thanks.

Did the male threaded part not come off with the antenna? If so, you could thread 2 nuts onto it and tighten them against each other. That should allow you to loosen it and remove it.

Negative the male threaded part did not come out. I found a thread on how to remove the antenna all together. I may just have to remove it all together to get the threaded part out.

This is exactly what I got. And then I was slapped with HEAVY customs fees! (Around $70 :|)

Canadian buyers should speak to them before ordering. They can figure out an alternate way to avoid custom fees
