Ista, Inpa etc

So I have some ongoing issues with modules and would like to be self sufficient in diagnosing.
Can you guys steer me to the best, easy to use product for this.
I am not tech savvy so the easier the better from setup through actually using the programs.

Thanks

I tried to get NCS Expert, INPA, etc. setup on my laptop and was never able to get it running. My understanding is that it is not so user friendly.

I was looking at Carly for BMW, until I found out the software was now an annual subscription. That will be expensive in the long run.

Instead, I just ordered the Foxwell NT510. It is supposed to be good for diagnostics and can also do coding of features. We'll see how that works out.

I also have the Foxwell NT510 (Shawben). It reads the codes and deletes them. But using a scanner goes beyond just doing that. You have to be quite tech savvy. I just ran codes for a misfire in my 328i. Pointed to the MAF. Replaced the MAF ($200) and I’m still getting the same codes as well as misfire. I’ve been told using a scanner requires a lot of reading, apparently it’s true

The easiest tool I ran across is Carly BMW. I purchased it couple years ago and is not subscription base. DIS is the most difficult to setup. ISTA-D ISTA-P is pretty easy to setup. It runs on many modern OSes. ISTA-D ISTA-P on eBay sells for like $50.

Unfortunately, it is now. If you bought it before they made the change, you are grandfathered in and don't have to pay the subscription rate.

Just to clarified Carly purchased prior to 3/2018 is not subscription based. I was afraid to upgrade until I read through different documents to confirmed.
