New Here
Hello Canada Forum!
Bought my E85 3.0i Roadster last month. Coming from Jap and VAG land, happy to finally be in a proper rear drive Bimmer! I've already done the sound pipe mod (love the sound) wish it actually did something more than just generate noise. Sawed and replaced my shift knob. Tinted the rear tails, added some carbon fiber lips to the front, blacked out the kidneys and threw on a Dinan axle back (disappointing in the sound department). I came from a Stage 2+ MkV Jetta on full coils etc. doing 281hp and 330lbft crank off the dyno. First car was a Mazda3, miss that car. Anyway, happy to be here and get rolling with more mods. |

Congrats on the new ride
Shameless plug, you need a 3.73 rear diff to wake that 3 litre up

No diff for me. But dbarton62 I would like to sit shotgun as I've been looking into superchargers and suspension setups and you've got the setup I'd like to run!
Here are some pictures. This is how the car sits now: Yellow high beams and fogs, with black out bottom and OSIR splitters. This was a few weeks ago. My brother had an E39 that I swapped rims with. 19" speedline corse. The offset is 18 so the rims poked a bit. Shame though, because I like the look. If anyone wants them shoot me a PM. They are two piece so it would make for an amazing 2 or 3 piece project. This is my previous ride which is actually more powerful than the Z4 (for now). All around the Jetta is better. More power, more audio, more luxury (honest) as it was fully loaded leather and gizmos. But it just didn't have that panache I wanted. Plus the Z4 handles like a dream balance wise, even with a full 3 way on the Jetta. |
